Airdrie cul-de-sac neighbours win big on EXTRA!

Jeremy Giraudier, Cory Bond and Steven Mercer are close neighbours in Airdrie… And they just found out they won $100,000 together on their LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket! 

The trio purchases lottery tickets twice a week and was surprised to see the big EXTRA win. 

“I scanned it at the store,” said Giraudier. “I was excited, and I called everyone over to tell them.” 

“We live in the same cul-de-sac, so I called Steve and Cory and said I needed help with something and to come over,” Giraudier chuckled. “That’s when I told them.” 

“I asked, ‘How many zeroes!?’” laughed Bond. 

Each of the neighbours has their own ideas for how they’ll spend their share. 

“I’m going to finish our basement reno,” said Giraudier. 

“I am taking a Mexico vacation with my family,” smiled Bond. 

“I’m also planning a trip to Mexico,” said Mercer. “But for my girlfriend’s birthday—it’s a big one coming up!” 

Giraudier purchased the group’s winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket from the Chevron McKnight located at 4808 12 Street NE in Calgary. They won their prize by correctly matching the last six out of seven digits in the EXTRA selection on the September 11 draw: 5051038.
